How Poverty's Affecting Our World Today

Everyone has seen a man struggling to find a way to making a living. Many kids are taught to stay away from people living in poverty, as most of their parents perceive them to be horrible people. However most of the people living in poverty are the kindness most humble people you'll ever meet. But the choices some of them make wether it'd be drugs or crimes perceive them to be bad people and thats why they're living the way they do. Many people don't understand the effects it has on our country, how it effects our economy and leads them to making bad decision as they have nothing to live for. 

So how do people end up in poverty?

One of the biggest pandemics our world faced caused people to lose businesses and their jobs. Business went bankrupt and ran out of money to maintain their businesses. With many businesses across the world shutting down many people lost jobs and ran out of money to provide for themselves and money. According to The challenge after the Covid 19 pandemic was over, over 326 thousand people in the United Stats alone were experiencing homeless shelters. This is actually lower as people were given stimulus checks because of the pandemic but not enough for the to live. 

So why is it important that we fix this issue?

So many people believe where you start out in life is where you'll end up. However that is not the case as most wealthy people come from families that lived in poverty or little to no money. People that come from poor families usually work harder to achieve their goals as they use everything they got. On the other hand we have the poor people that decide to make bad choices as they don't have much to live for. Crime rates are higher in poor neighborhoods causing problems for other people.  Drug addictions also become a problem as suicide rates raise higher due to overdoses from poor people. 

The bigger issue on poverty.

As most people don't pay attention to poverty, the bigger issue are the young children that are born in poverty. Most families living in poverty aren't able to afford education for their children, which than just creates a cycle within their family. Every child should have some source of education as talents could be wasted if they don't have opportunity. According to The States of Americas Children 2020 "Children remain the poorest age group in America. Nearly 1 in 6 lived in poverty in 2018—nearly 11.9 million children (see Table 2). The child poverty rate (16 percent) is nearly one-and-a-half times higher than that for adults ages 18-64 (11 percent) and two times higher than that for adults 65 and older (10 percent)." This is a major issue that not only our country but our world needs to fix as its probably worse in different countries. 

What are the steps into fixing this?

As there are many steps into fixing this issues we all need to work together to help end it. First we need to educate the younger generation that its not okay to live the way poor people are living. The government should do a better job at collecting money for this reason to help give these people a head start and enforce them to work. Also by getting rid of the drug problem our world faces today poor people can face reality on what to do instead. Lastly, giving them shelter will keep them off the streets where its more dangerous.
